Inspiration:Ā Facing the Indian Ocean, the island ofĀ SumbaĀ located near the island of Komodo, in the province of the Lesser Sunda Islands, has been known for centuries asĀ the island of sandalwood. The island is home toĀ one of Indonesiaās most beautiful breeds of horse: theĀ Sumba, also known as theĀ Sandalwood Pony. At dawn or sunset, beyond the lush vegetation of theĀ frangipani-lined Indonesian jungle, the beach at Nihiwatu becomes the playground of the Sumba horses. At the end of their wild runs they love to cool off in the water and under the effect of the swell, their hooves leave the ground, they then begin to swim in the ocean offering mankind a timeless spectacle.
